The Alchemy
One of the most exciting moments is the one when you open the kiln and just peak in through the gap to see how did your glass pieces turned out. The flat fused glass piece is a reactive fire tale. On a sheet of glass I set metals and glass frits thinking of the coastline, of underwater life and deposits along the beach. The result is unique, you can rarely replicate the same reaction in another fused glass piece. You look into them or through them and read the story of how the elements blended together through fire.
