LHQ Gallery, Cork County Library, Carrigrohane Road, Cork is open Monday to Friday 9am-5.30pm.Part of The Unnatural Museum, the organic art work with grass roots imprinting the surface they grow on is another angle of the researched environmental crisis. The inquiry on how the future fossils will look like or how will our Holocene landfills be represented in the future geologic stratigraphic samples? As trilobites were the markers of the Cambrian rock formations, will bottle caps become the alternative stratigraphic marker of the Quaternary period? At present Nature in its resilient force grows back over the multiple environmental scars induced by our exploitation, yet it leaves proof behind such as these grass root prints on discarded plastics.
